Paddington BID News and Events

Paddington BID organises a series of events and promotions such as What's Your Flavour? the music and food festival and guided walks to showcase Paddington and encourage tourists and employees to stay and enjoy this vibrant quarter.

In July 2005 Paddington BID launched the IN PADDINGTON guide with an extensive eating out directory, a list of shops, services and hotels. A revised edition was published in September 2006.

Other projects include the installation of area notice boards to assist visitors in locating hotels, restaurants, shops and other businesses in the area.

The BID also holds regular events and seminars for businesses in the BID area on issues of common concern such as the 2005 Rates Revaluation, the congestion charge extension, Crossrail, planning and parking.

Royal Parks Half Marathon 14/01/08
The Royal Parks Foundation, the charity for the eight Royal Parks, is launching central London's first ever half marathon on 12 October 2008, starting and ending in Hyde Park. The 12,500 runners will race through four Royal Parks, taking in superb views of Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Marble Arch and the Royal Albert Hall. Whether you are a charity that would like to benefit or a keen runner this is a great chance to get involved with a new high profile Central London run. Small or large, charity or community group, there are lost of ways to get involved but you need to get in quick as there are limited spaces and deadlines for charity applications. Walks

Paddington BID offers a variety of free guided walks of the area including Fleming, Brunel, Exploring Little Venice and a brand new family walk, A Bear and a Boy that Never Grows Up.

Party In Paddington 2008 Norfolk Square, W2
5 p.m. - 7 p.m. 3 & 4 September 2008
An outdoor live music and dance event, open to the public with food and refreshments on sale.

Meetings

Paddington BID is overseen by a Board of Directors drawn from the local area. The Board has four sub groups: Marketing, Environment & Planning, Security and Finance & Legal.
